The car arrived in Dubai in August of 2017 and the owner immediately started the refurbishment project which took approximately 6 months and he spent an overall amount of AED 45,000 on this Mustang. The owner personally supervised and was involved in the project; he used two workshops (Concorde Auto Garage and Sara Auto Care). All the parts have been purchased directly from cjponyparts.com which is known for a reliable source of original Ford Mustang parts. The car was stripped to bare metal and was repainted in the Ford Bright Red, during this work there were no traces of rust, accident or damage reports the seller. The car comes with an aftermarket carburetor which was purchased from Summit Racing.
Offered with matching numbers engine and transmission; which have been overhauled in 2017 by the current owner and the work was completed in Concorde Auto Garage. This Mustang 289 is powered by a 289ci V8 rated at 200 HP with the 9:3:1 compression and a two-barrel carburetor. Mated to C4 Automatic 3-Speed transmission the power is sent to rear wheels (RWD). No leakage or mechanical failure has been reported by the seller, he confirms that it runs efficiently and smoothly. The original 14inch steel wheels are wrapped around tires from 2019.

The five-digit odometer shows 27,540 miles which is believed to be accurate.
During the process of the painting the seller was very meticulous in making the car to have the classic car lacquer with glossiness therefore he instructed for 2 layers of base coat with 4 layers of clear coat to be applied. He describes the overall condition of the paint to be exactly as if it has rolled out of the factory in Dearborn, Michigan. Under his ownership the car has been parked either indoors or under the shade but always underneath a cover. Since the end of 2017, the car was driven every winter for about 3 to 4 months, he has added approximately 6,000 miles including the two rallies which he participated in 2017 and 2018. This Mustang is in such a condition that it has been part of a Breitling campaign and the Breitling CEO came to Dubai and has driven the car for this campaign and pictures of the car were used for the ad posters.
Last but not least, our seller`s message to interested buyers is that it is an opportunity to buy one of the last few completely stock Ford Mustangs that has undergone meticulous restoration with stock or original parts. The car is a three-owner vehicle with a great history of being stored in garages and very caring owners. Runs smoothly and a great investment in fine automotive art.
