Car Bidders Club is bringing you this Ivory over Faux-Wood Trim matched with Honey Tan interior, model year 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer; The Jeep Wagoneer is a luxury 4x4 produced and marketed under Jeep under successive automakers from 1962 to 1991. Described when it was introduced as a station wagon body style, the pioneering design became known in time as a "sport utility vehicle" (SUV). Available initially with rear-wheel drive, the 4WD Wagoneer stayed in production for 29 model-years (1963–1991) with almost unchanged body-structure, making it the third longest-produced single generation car in U.S. automotive history. The model year of 1985 was the last in production from AMC design which afterwards the Wagoneer appeared under the GMC brand umbrella. This is one of the very few Grand Wagoneers you can find in the UAE. Equipment includes a roof rack, power-adjustable front seats, power windows, and 15″ steel alloy rims which are original to the car equipped with white wall Maxis tires. The owner has purchased this Grand Wagoneer back in 2019 from Wagonmaster.nl.
The car comes with vinyl faux-wood paneling. Equipment includes a roof rack with roof rails, two fog lights which are original to the car, and air dam. The front and rear chrome bumpers are also original to this Wagoneer. While dents, chips are visible on parts of the main body, corrosion is visible at the tip of bumpers along with blemishes. Please refer to the pictures placed in the gallery to view them, close-up pictures are available. All four rims feature Jeep center caps. The parking brake cable was replaced and front and rear brakes were overhauled in 2020 in The Collector`s Workshop in Dubai. Replacement of driver side power-window motor have been sourced from Team Grand Wagoneer in Wisconsin, USA, and installed, the invoice is in the gallery among pictures. Chrome front grille with a hood ornament is still original to the car. This Grand Wagoneer is now being used mostly for weekend leisure drive and occasional daily commute by its owner since purchased. It is being parked inside a covered garage.
The cabin features seats trimmed in Honey Tan leather with corduroy inserts, woodgrain trim on the dashboard and door panels, and matching carpets. The carpets are original to the car and spots and age related wear and tear is visible on them. Close-up pictures of the interior are available in the gallery. Additional features include power accessories, power-adjustable front seats, a cassette stereo with replacement speakers, and an overhead console with map lights. The air conditioning has been improved to GCC specs under the current ownership also in The Collector`s Workshop in Dubai. The dynamo was replaced and upgraded to support the GCC spec A/C unit as well as electric fuel pump in Nostalgia Classic Cars, Dubai. The display units consist of, speedometer along with gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer indicates 96,000 miles however the owner cannot verify the accuracy of the odometer reading. Approximately 1,500 miles of which were added by the current owner. All the displays and gauges are in working order, ageing is visible on the dashboard panel which shows minimal cracks and discoloration. All the seats show patina from the usage of both previous owners and the current owner. There is a cigarette hole on the front passenger side which came with the car as the current owner does not smoke. All the fluids; including engine coolant, brake fluid, oil, transmission oil were replaced approximately 6 months ago in Nostalgia Classic Cars in Dubai.
Under the hood of this Jeep Grand Wagoneer, power comes from a 5.9-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case; the transfer case has been fully rebuilt in The Collector`s Workshop. The car comes with the back then technological innovation called Selec-Trac which refers to shift on the fly from 2-wheel to 4-wheel drive. This Grand Wagoneer is equipped with a `Cruise Control` system however it is currently not functional. The factory rating for this vehicle was 175 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine has matching numbers, and the car comes with a clean CarFax title for the time spent in the US which is until 2012. The work which has been performed by the current owner is well documented however there is no documentation which was passed on from previous owners. The current owner describes the vehicle as reliable since he did his due diligence and enjoys driving it but there is room for improvement for the next owner to take it to the next level. The car was only serviced in The Collector`s Workshop and Nostalgia Classic Cars respectively since imported into the country. The sale will include 3 sets of OEM keys.
